Rock bottom. Hypothetically the worst possible place you could be. The lowest place or situation to fall in to. Everything feels bad. The world stops spinning. You feel as if there is nothing that you can do to fix it. However, you can only go up from there.
Yeah rock bottom sucks. I know from experience unfortunately. It is a sad and uncomfortable place to be. You feel stuck and are confused on what is next. But like I said before, you can only go up from here.
"Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to realize God is the rock at the bottom."
Read. That. Again. Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to realize that God is the rock at the bottom. He is that firm foundation. He is my rock. He is always there for you, never ever leaving you, especially when you need Him most.
God is going to put you through trials and tough times in order to show you the amazing things that He has to offer. It is important to learn to stop worrying so much and remember God's love never fails and that He will not let you fall. Sometimes God places a storm in your life to wake you up because He knows you are running away from Him. Sometimes it's not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain. He puts these troubles in your life not to hurt you on purpose, but to draw you back to Him.
Perspective is everything. EVERYTHING! You can't have a rainbow without a little rain. Yes we suffer, but we suffer for a purpose. There is always a brighter side, keep your faith high always. I know that it can be difficult to look at the positive when everything feels like it is falling apart, but there is SO much to be grateful and appreciative for in life. Try to look at all the wins you have in your life. Like this morning I was having a bad day, but then I got to get my favorite flavor of energy drink. Yeah this wasn't a big win and it isn't going to change the other things that are going on in my life, but it is a win and something to be thankful for. Try to look at life with a cup half full, not a cup half empty. Count your blessings, there is so much to be thankful for. There is ALWAYS something for you to be thankful for.
God has a plan for us. Everything is according to Him. God is always going to be there to look out for us. Sometimes God ruins the plans that you have made, so that they do not ruin you. You may think that you know everything and have it all planned out, but that may not be God's plan. His plan is far greater and better than you can ever imagine. Trust Him and His timing. Everything will work out.
"At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen." - Isaiah 60:22
I personally struggle with waiting and with patience from time to time, I think it is safe to say that we all do. We are all human. Although it isn't fun just sitting there and waiting, we must remember to trust. Like I said before, God has a plan for us. Remember that His plan is better than ours, so we must be patient and wait for His timing. God is our rock, lean on Him and that firm foundation He has built. Remember to always be patient, trust in His timing, and always give grace:)
