What do you think of when you first hear the phrase, "falling in love?" Personally, I think of my favorite romantic-comedy movie. The one where the guy gets the girl and they fall in love, and live happily ever after. I think of falling in love with a partner in life. I bet that is what you first thought of too, right?

Lately, I have been seeing this phrase, "falling in love," and thinking about falling in love with being alive. Falling in love with my life that I have been so blessed with. Falling in love with myself and knowing that I am beautifully and wonderfully made.

When I went to college, I got in a slump. I still get in slumps to this day. Honestly, I am in one right now. I just feel so out of it and don't feel like myself. I feel lost and am constantly searching for ways to be my happy, fun loving self again. It becomes hard to do things I used to enjoy, but I have been getting better and finding myself again. I have been loving myself again.

I have been slowly learning to forgive myself and find myself through my interests. I have started reading again. My screen time has gone down. I pray every morning and night. I journal more. I spend more time with family and friends, rather than alone. I just begin to find joy in the little things in life.

I have started to find motivation and strength for myself to enjoy life again. I will now set aside time to focus on myself and well being. Mental health is so important in life, especially when you are older. Make sure that you are not only checking in on your loved ones, but checking in on yourself too. What can I be doing to be happier? What can I do to get back that version of myself?

I have starting "falling in love" again. Falling in love with being alive. Falling in love with my life. Falling in love with myself. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, but now I know the things I love that make me feel like myself again.

Remember to surround yourself with people who love and care about you. You will lose and find yourself several times in life. Try to look at this as getting to know yourself on other levels. Allow the journey to take you, embrace it. Remind yourself to love yourself and always give grace:)
