Growing up. I have never been a fan of that word. I mean come on, look how cute baby grace was! Why would she want to grow up when she is so sweet? Looking at this photo, I realize this is how my parents see me. They will always see me as their baby girl, no matter how old I get. Once I started thinking about this, I realized, this is also how God sees me. He see me as His child. He always will see us all as His children. No matter how old you get, you are His child.
It is always easy to get caught up in life. Life is a mess. I am a mess. Everything is wrong and broken, and so am I. Even though this may be how you see yourself, this is not how God sees you. In His eyes, we are perfect. We are not a mess or broken. We are one of His beautiful children. He made you. He loves you. God pursues a relationship with you and He is not done with you. He is forever by your side, for you are His child.
Ephesians 2:10 reads, "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." He made you in perfect and wonderful ways. You were created just the way you are for a reason and He loves you.
God celebrates every little victory with us, just like our parents or loved ones do! When we first learned to walk, He was cheering us on. He rejoices every time we pray, every time we spend time with Him, every time we speak to Him. He is always by your side through thick and thin.

Although life changes and you will get older, you are always His child. You are always your parents child. So reminder yourself that it's okay to be a kid. It is okay to go live life and run around like a little kid and just have fun. Just because you are an adult, does not mean you have to let go of your childhood self completely. Do not grow up too fast, there is no need to. Just be you and take everything one step at a time. Always give yourself grace and give your childhood self grace as well- Never grow up:)
